In this series of „Questions Muslims have” bevor I start answering, let me present to you a question that I have myself and that I asked many Muslims–and in asking I would like to include here people like Zakir Naik–to please answer me, but never one could answer me to my satisfaction? The question is, why Allah never heard my prayers, never answered me, but Jesus did each time?
Why? – In the meantime I received an answer, please read it on the end.
At age of 26 I arrived at the lowest point in my life. I did not want to live anymore as I could not find a reason for living, everybody else just striving to gain money and things, power and fame and all that; and most of all their own happiness and wellbeing. Things that never made me happy in all my 26 years of live.
I did believe that there was a God but I did not know him and had no connection to him, did not know how to pray to him. One day, in desperation and lack of words I lifted up my arms to heaven and just cried out to God to help me.
If Allah is the one true God why did he not answer me? Why, tell me? – That was in 1975, a time without internet. And a time, where you here in Germany did not know anything about Allah or the Quran! I am now 77 years old!
And I never heard of anybody else testifying that Allah heard their prayers and answered them.
Allah did not hear me nor answer me – but Jesus did.
He sent me somebody out in the streets to tell me of God’s great love for me.
When I cried out for God to help me 51 years ago, Allah had a chance to hear me and answer me, but he did not, what proofs to me that Allah may say he is the only true God, but he is not, never heard anyone’s prayer and answered, NEVER!
Is this why never a Muslim could answer me that question why Jesus answered and why not Allah if he says to be the one true God? If anybody cries out to God, not expecting any particular God to answer, then you should think that the one true God will indeed answer, right? That is why I take it, that Jesus is that one true God, no matter what other religions tell you. If Jesus answered your heart cry for God to help you with that he proofs to be the one true God.
Now what do I mean with that “one” true God.
Muslims hold on to that Quran quotation that God does not have a partner, and I fully agree with this, God really does not have a partner. I can agree with this, as Jesus is not a partner to God, just like the sun’s rays are not a partner of the sun but are a part of the sun together with the heat of the sun, so Jesus is not a partner, but part of God. The sun, the light and the heat, does that make the sun to be 3? For sure not and if Jesus tells you that he is one with the father but you cannot comprehend this, then there must be something wrong with your picture of God and not the fact that Jesus is one with God just like the sun’s rays are one with the sun.
What does a word tell you?
Like the word water. This word represents the mixture of 2 parts Hydrogen and one part of Oxygen. And only those 2 together make what we simply call water. The same with the sun. When we say the sun we mean the ball with its light and heat. Look around you. Is there a word that does not stand for a combination of things expressed in one word? With the word house, we mean a building with walls, doors, windows and a roof, right? So why can that Word God not mean Father , Son, and Holy Spirit? Just because you saw all your life long behind that word God only one person, that is why it has to be like this?
In the next 51 years Jesus did so many miracles for me, keeping on proofing to me to be the one true God, it would make up a book if I would write it all down and I love him more than ever and being 77 years old by now I know he will come soon to pick me up and take me home to heaven. (Saying this makes me feel for you, how you must feel having to admit now that it is not the Christians that are deceived, but you through your religion are the victim of deceit.)
When I asked Jesus to come into my heart and life Jesus fulfilled a promise he gave in John 14:23 “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” – Jesus said “WE” will come to him and make our home with him. “WE” that means the Father and the Son. And when I did say such a prayer for Jesus to come into my heart, he did answer that prayer also and came together with the Father and their Holy Spirit and stayed in there ever since.
I have been accused of being too emotional. But tell me, the following scriptures are they just an emotional thing or a promise from God that you can stand on? “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” – Jeremiah 33:3
Psalm 91:15-16 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Isaiah 58:9 Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’
Isaiah 65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.
God was faithful all throughout the past 2000 centuries to fulfill these promises to those who called on him and nothing changed on this with Islam coming.
Here are more wonderful promises you can stand on:
Psalm 17:6 – I call on you, my God, for you will answer me…
Isaiah 41,10 fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Jeremiah 1,8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the LORD.”
Lamentations 3:55-57 – But I called on your name, Lord, from deep within the pit. You heard me when I cried…Yes, you came when I called; you told me, “Do not fear.”
Make the God of these wonderful promises to your own God, rest in these promises and keep studying also on these subjects

I received an answer that opened my eyes to why Muslims don’t even expect that God would answer. It is not clear English, but I got the point: “he answered Jesus prayers when Jesus prayed to him.“
Muslims are told that God only speaks to prophets, not to any “normal” person. So, for them it is all clear why Jesus answered, as they believe he was just a messenger, a prophet and that is why he was sent to me to answer me. And like Catholics ask all kinds of saints to pray for them, so Muslims think that Jesus can pray also for us to God, bring my message before God and answer then back to the person.
My answer was: God did not sent Jesus as a messenger in answer to my prayers. If God needs a messenger to answer me, he could have also sent Mohammed so I could know Allah and Islam. If Mohammed was the last messenger of God it would be logical that he would sent Mohammed, so everyone may know Islam.
But no, Jesus came as God the Son to show me who is God and that he hears and answers directly and not through a messenger!
Your religion does not teach you that God can speak to anybody that is open for the truth of God. But God himself teaches it:
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” – Jeremiah 33:3
It does not talk of special messengers, but anybody can call out to God and he will answer him. Claim this verse and pray to the God of Abraham to speak to you and show you great and mighty things.
The same with other scriptures that talk of anybody not special messengers of God:
Psalm 91:14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name.
15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
Psalm 50:14 „Make thanksgiving your sacrifice to God and perform your vows to the Most High,
15 and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”
Again it talks directly to you.
Islam, like the Catholic Church, went all back to the Old Testament, not accepting anything “NEW” that Jesus brought. But God promised through the prophet Joel: 2:28 “And it shall come to pass afterward (in the last days), that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions.
29 Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit. – That means clearly, God speaks to anybody open for him and his truth!”
Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus speaking: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Jesus could not have meant, that people should come to him personally to him at that time. He meant to come to him in prayer. And he would not have said this, to come to him, if he would not be God the Son. If he would have been just a prophet he would have added that he would then go to his father and pray for you to him. But no, he tells us here clearly to come to him, directly to him and he will give us rest. Millions of believers have tested that and confirm it to be true, Jesus answers, not as a messenger, but as God the Son! – believe it and try it out for yourself!
All these verses mentioned here also show, that God is a personal God and desires for us to have a personal relationship with him!

ich respektiere sehr, dass du deine Gotteserfahrung als persönlich und wirklich erlebt hast. Gerade deshalb würde ich zwischen persönlicher Glaubenserfahrung und logisch bzw. historisch beweisbarer Aussage unterscheiden.
Dass du beim Gebet eine Antwort erfahren hast, kann für deinen Glauben von größter Bedeutung sein. Daraus folgt jedoch logisch nicht, dass dadurch ausgeschlossen wäre, dass Muslime zu demselben Gott beten. „Allah“ ist zunächst schlicht das arabische Wort für „Gott“; auch arabischsprachige Christen nennen Gott „Allah“. Noch wichtiger: Der Koran selbst sagt ausdrücklich zu den „Leuten der Schrift“: „Unser Gott und euer Gott ist einer“ (Sure 29:46). (Quran)
Das bedeutet selbstverständlich nicht, dass Christentum und Islam theologisch dasselbe lehren. Im Gegenteil: Die Unterschiede sind fundamental. Das Christentum bekennt Jesus Christus als Sohn Gottes und Erlöser; der Islam erkennt Jesus (ʿĪsā) als bedeutenden Propheten an, aber nicht als Gott. Genau diese Differenz darf und soll man offen benennen.
Auch Johannes 14,6 ist eindeutig: „Ich bin der Weg und die Wahrheit und das Leben. Niemand kommt zum Vater außer durch mich.“ (BibleGateway) Ein Christ darf und soll dieses Wort als Bekenntnis zu Christus verkünden. Daraus folgt aber nicht das Recht, einem Muslim seine persönliche Gotteserfahrung abzusprechen oder ihn als Menschen pauschal als „auf dem Holzweg“ zu behandeln.
Bemerkenswert ist gerade die Haltung des Zweiten Vatikanischen Konzils: Nostra aetate hält ausdrücklich fest, dass Muslime „den einen Gott“ anbeten, zugleich aber Jesus nicht als Gott anerkennen. Die katholische Kirche hält also gleichzeitig an Christus als „Weg, Wahrheit und Leben“ fest und erkennt den islamischen Gottesglauben als auf den einen Schöpfer gerichteten Monotheismus an. Philosophisch wäre deshalb Vorsicht vor einem Zirkelschluss angebracht:
„Ich habe Gott angerufen → ich habe Jesus erfahren → deshalb kann Allah nicht Gott sein.“
Das ist eine authentische Glaubenszeugnis-Kette, aber kein logisch zwingender Beweis. Ein Beweis müsste unabhängig von der persönlichen religiösen Voraussetzung für alle Menschen nachvollziehbar sein.
Und gerade ethisch scheint mir dein letzter Gedanke entscheidend: Wenn Christen Jesus als Wahrheit und Weg bezeugen, sollte dieses Zeugnis von der von Jesus geforderten Liebe getragen sein. Wahrheit und Nächstenliebe müssen dabei keine Gegensätze sein (Mt 22,37–39).
Man kann deshalb mit voller Überzeugung sagen: „Für mich ist Jesus Christus der Weg zum Vater.“
Man sollte daraus aber nicht vorschnell folgern: „Wer anders glaubt, betet deshalb zwangsläufig einen anderen Gott an.“
Vielleicht liegt genau hier eine Möglichkeit zu einem ernsthaften Dialog: nicht die Unterschiede verschweigen, aber auch den anderen Menschen nicht entwürdigen.
Hans, du hast mir vor Jahren schon deine Lebensweisheit und -Auffassung mitgeteilt und ich habe versucht, es dir begreiflich zu machen (anscheinend erfolglos), dass ich an „Dialogen“ nicht interessiert bin.
Gott lässt jedem Menschen seinen Willen, greift nicht in sein Leben und was er tut und denkt ein. Als Nachfolger Christi halte ich mich an sein Beispiel, ganz gleich wie schwer mir das manchmal auch fallen mag. Ich halte mich aber auch an Jesus Gebot, das Evangelium zu predigen, nicht zu debattieren und „Dialoge“ zu führen, sondern nur zu predigen!
Für mich, wie auch für Muslime, gibt es und kann es nur einen Gott im Universum geben, einen Schöpfer Himmels und der Erde. Muslime verfechten ihre Meinung, dass der einzige richtige Gott der Islamische Gott ist.
Sie beleidigen meiner Meinung nach den wahren Gott indem sie zum einen sagen, die Bibel ist verfälscht, was doch eine Beleidigung ist, denn sie sagen doch damit, dass Gott machtlos daneben stehen musste, während da irgendwelche Leute irgendwas sich zusammengebastelt und erträumt haben, was jetzt in den Jüdischen Heiligen Schriften und demnach auch der Bibel steht, denn die Bibel ist auf das Alte Testament aufgebaut, ist die Erfüllung der Prophetien gegeben von Gott.
Was Gott auch gegeben hat sind Gesetzte und eines davon ist, dass ein Blutopfer nötig ist, um Sünden abzuwaschen. Etwas das der Islam sagt, ist nicht wahr oder es gibt daneben auch andere Möglichkeiten oder Ausnahmen, was eine Lüge ist – in deinen Augen wohl auch eine Möglichkeit, die zu respektieren ist, aber bei Gott gibt es innerhalb der Wahrheit keine Toleranz, oder es wäre nicht mehr DIE WAHRHEIT! Entweder ist etwas so wie Gott es sagte, oder es ist Lüge.
Auch verbreitet Islam in ihrem Qur‘an die Lüge, dass es nicht Jesus war, der getötet wurde, sondern ein anderer und dass Jesus lediglich ein Prophet war und nicht Gott der Sohn, was eine Herabsetzung von Gott als nur einem Menschen ist, was doch eine weitere schreckliche Beleidigung von Gott ist.
Muslime reagieren auf die kleinste Beleidigung ziemlich heftig mit Gewalt, haben Christen nicht umso mehr das Recht, nicht mit Gewalt aber durch Worte sich dagegen zu wehren?
Gehe auf FB zu Gruppen die „Islam vs. Christentum“ debattieren. Dort kannst du kennenlernen, wieviel Respekt Muslime gegenüber Christen haben. Alles was die Meisten von ihnen wollen ist so richtig Spaß haben zu spotten und zu lästern und die dummen Christen in ihrer Dummheit bloßzustellen. Und das in Rechthaberei, um zu beweisen, wir recht sie haben und wie falsch du liegst. Wieviel besser sie als „Gläubige“ sind als du nutz- und wertloser „Ungläubiger“.
Sie lieben es zu debattieren, zu argumentieren in Rechthaberei, aber keiner von ihnen scheint einen Hunger nach der Wahrheit zu haben, herauszufinden, was nun wirklich die Wahrheit ist und was nicht.
Doch Jesus hat uns geboten, das Evangelium zu predigen – was ich mit meinen Posts versuche zu tun – also nicht eine Debatte anzuzündeln, sondern Muslimen die Möglichkeit geben möchte, die Wahrheit zu erfahren. Zu predigen – nicht zu debattieren. Was du mit dem was du in meinem Predigen gehört hast und damit dann machst, ist dann dein Problem, nicht meines. Ich beantworte gerne ernsthafte Fragen die Leute haben, aber kein Debattieren über die Wahrheit!
Ich bin also an keinem weiteren „Dialog“ mit dir interessiert und ich hoffe du respektierst das und siehst davon ab, mir weiterhin zu schreiben – ich war zuvor an deinen Weisheiten nicht interessiert und bin es immer noch nicht!
In meiner Erfahrung (ich bin jetzt 77) beten Leute, die Dialoge und debattieren lieben, ihren Verstand an, weigern sich, auch ihren Verstand Gott zu unterstellen. Muslime entschuldigen sich damit dass sie sagen, Gott hat mir einen Verstand gegeben und möchte doch deshalb, das ich ihn benütze. Doch Gott sagt uns Menschen:
„Meine Gedanken sind nicht eure Gedanken“, sagt der HERR, „und meine Wege sind nicht eure Wege. Denn so viel der Himmel höher ist als die Erde, so viel höher stehen meine Wege über euren Wegen und meine Gedanken über euren Gedanken.“ – Jesaja 55,8-9
