Written as a letter to a friend.
Dear Friend, that you are searching for the truth is good, that is the right attitude to have. Most Muslims (many Germans also) are closed, they are full to the brim inside with Islam or the world and what it has to offer, there does not fit anything anymore into them sad to say.
I would like to explain something. I tried to explain before (see following picture story) to different people but have a hard time to say it that others will get the point. But I will try again.
If you throw a stone into a still standing lake it will make rings. Now imagine this stone to be the unity of God making the first ring. Because they are 3 they can share Love between themselves. Love is not Love until we give it away, right? If we keep it to ourselves it is not Love. And Love is not always great big feelings, but you act out of a need you see or because something just needs to be done. And this act then becomes Love, the (cheerful) giving makes it into Love!
So, if there is only 1 single God/Allah with whom did he share Love before he created anything? This “God” may say he is All-Merciful but how can be all-merciful he if he is not in his innermost being Love himself? No Love no mercy, nor real righteousness… and remember the quote:
Love is everything, for without love there is nothing–no friends, no families, no fathers or mothers or children or health or happiness or heaven. There could be none of these without love. And none of these is possible without God, for He is love.
And because the Love between the 3 is so big they just had to expand it. They created rings of Love by creating angels and other Heavenly beings out of their great Love. But that was not enough for them, in further extending they Love they created the world and the whole Universe. And finally that Love brought forth us Humans, a man and a woman.
But God–the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit–did not want to create robots that are programmed to do exactly as they wanted, they had to create angels as well as humans in their own “image” what means with a free will to decide themselves of what they want, or even of whom they want to choose to follow.
God put that first man and woman into a Garden called Eden, a beautiful Paradise. But there is something that happened before that. In Islam there is that story of Iblis that I like to use here. Iblis is called in the Bible Lucifer–Luz, meaning light, symbolic for knowledge. In him God imbedded his whole knowledge. And this must have gotten Lucifer all lifted up in pride – remember a free will entails also your choice to be humble or to get proud–thinking that he should be God.
But what is knowledge without wisdom? With knowledge men discovered how to use oil, to produce gasoline that pollutes now the air and plastic that became a pest all over the earth. Scientist report that there are by now Nanoparticles of plastic just about everywhere. In the oceans as well as in the air we breathe. And the wind blow it even to the highest mountains. In shops we find this pink Salt from the Himalaya offered, that is supposed to be all ”clean and pure”. But how can it anymore and what difference does it make if we breath in and take with our food in nanoparticles of poisonous plastic?
There may be a few that see the urgency of the need for a radical change in our lifestyle and way we tread our environment, but humans do not want to give up what they got used to for a comfortable living, only complain when they get sick with all kinds of cancers or other “modern” diseases, usually then remembering God and blaming him for letting them get an awful sickness.
Can you see, why God allowed Lucifer his way and we all ending up in this hellbent world? Lucifer got proud to contain all the knowledge of God, but when God asked him to bow before Adam in his pride he refused to do this. This bowing I understand it to mean as the Bible tells us in Hebrews 1:7, that he should serve Adam, become his “guardian angel”.
But Lucifer did not want to humbly serve, he wanted to be God over Adam and Eve and their descendances. And through these rebellion against God he became Satan or the Devil, the „adversary,“ „opposer,“ or „accuser,“ the supreme spirit of evil and the supreme adversary of God.
Satan or the Devil we know pictured with horns and huffs, but if he would run around like that everybody would easily recognize him as who he is. Instead he appears as that what he had become, the greatest liar and deceiver in the Universe.
We humans like to be religious and because Satan cannot hinder us from believing in God, he in his trickery started to deceive them and sidetrack them unto a road that, instead of leading to God, led them away from God. Being so deceiving as he is, people in their chosen religion think and are convinced to have the only true religion with its only true God or Gods.
But people who start questioning Religions and the ways of the world, start a road that can lead them to that ring of Love. And if they let themselves be pulled into that ring of Love, they will find there the truth, enlightenment and most of all, true love, the true Love of God.
The Apostle John understood Jesus the best of all his disciples, that Love is the most important thing and let us therefore know in his first letter chapter 4 that “God is Love”! And as Jesus is one with God he also is Love. John wrote in his Gospel chapter 17 what is called, the High Priestly Prayer:
… 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.
5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. – again here Jesus declares that he always existed, just like the father, being one with the father.
6 I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. – meaning when you follow Jesus you are not of this world anymore, not in your thinking and acting.
Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. – they were receptive to what Jesus taught and that led Jesus to …
9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. …
11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.
– that they may be one, even as we are one. To come into that ring of Love, God created through his Love. Becoming one with God and each other in Love. Stepping into that ring of Love does not mean that we will also become God, but it means becoming Christlike, because Jesus is our sample and following his sample and becoming with time more and more like him, we enter closer and closer to the inner circle of God.
That brings us to another thing that neither Muslims not Atheists understands Jesus saying, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’? – John 10:34 quoting here Psalm 82:6 “You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. – Can you understand now why this proclamation? We become “like” gods in our being willing to be made new creatures in our heart and mind through receiving Jesus Christ, becoming more and more with time into his likeness.
Paul expressed it that way: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, – Romans 3:23 through sin we lost that pureness of God and became in our inner being like both God and Satan, good and bad.
but 24 are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
If you read the Bible with a wrong picture you have about God, you will not understand anything of the Bible. But your hunger for the truth and loving to be drawn by Love toward God you will understand more and more.
